Becky is a philosopher at the Oxford Uehiro Institute. Her work covers a range of topics in practical ethics and the philosophy of medicine. This includes a particular focus on ethical issues that arise in the context of promoting public health: is it acceptable to pay people to be healthy? Can people be blamed for health harms they suffer as a result of their own behaviour? Should public health communicators ever mislead people in order to better promote health?
