Professor Ray Wills has more than 40 years experience in a wide-ranging career at different times as a researcher, academic, planner, consultant, adviser, manager, executive, business owner, author, commentator, entrepreneur and futurist and has worked in private enterprise and for government, Parliament, industry bodies, NGOs and educational institutions.
He is an Adjunct Professor with the School of Agriculture and Environment at The University of Western Australia, where he contributes to the academic program and advises the university on sustainability initiatives. His current research interests include the adoption rates of technology and the impact of disruptive technology on markets.
Prof Wills is Managing Director of Future Smart Strategies, an advisory firm providing expertise and strategic advice on future energy scenarios and the planning of giga-scale energy developments in Australia, and has developed the largest hybrid solar / battery storage project in Western Australia,
Prof Wills is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy and recognised by several international groups as one of the Top 100 Global Leaders in Sustainability, Climate Change and Energy.
