Raman Sachdev is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Clark Atlanta University. His research and teaching focus on moral and political philosophy, comparative philosophy, skepticism, Buddhist philosophy, and early modern philosophy. His current work examines the ethics of resistance in Martin Luther King Jr. and Huey P. Newton, as well as the relationship between equality and moral obligation.

His publications include “Two Ancient Paths to Inner Peace,” a comparative study of Buddhist and Stoic approaches to suffering and tranquility, and “Descartes and Skepticism.” His chapter “The Dhammapada (The Path of Dhamma)” is forthcoming in Reading Primary Sources in Indian Philosophy. He also serves as a Section Editor for Open Theology and Open Philosophy.

Before joining Clark Atlanta, Sachdev taught at Minot State University and the University of South Florida. He earned his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of South Florida, an M.A. in the humanities from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in philosophy from Loyola University Chicago.
