Rajan Basra is a Fellow at the Centre for Strategy and National Security (CSNS) and a researcher in the Department of War Studies at King's College London.

Dr Basra has presented his research to the United Nations Security Council, the European Council, and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, among others, and has served as an expert witness in terrorism trials in the UK.

He completed his PhD in War Studies at King’s College London, where he received a 2021 King’s Outstanding Thesis Prize. He also holds an MA in Terrorism, Security, and Society from King’s College London, awarded with distinction.
