I am interested in understanding the mechanisms that regulate immune function. My research is particularly focused on the identification of novel biological processes involving T and B cells in establishing immune homeostasis. Immune homeostasis is an intricately controlled phenomenon of the immune system allowing a “healthy and stable” relationship with the other cells and organs of the body. Loss of this homeostasis can cause serious immune problems and diseases such as cancer, type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis.
