Rahul Chandora is a PhD researcher in plant genomics at the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI), The University of Queensland (UQ). His research focuses on the complex polyploid genomes of Australian native millets, particularly Channel millet, to better understand their evolutionary history and relevance to climate-resilient agriculture and future food systems. He is a recipient of the ICAR-Netaji International Fellowship and a member of the UQ Global Change Scholars Program. His work contributes to advancing genomic resources for underutilised Australian native grasses. Rahul also serves as a Scientist at ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, where he works on the characterisation, conservation, and management of Plant Genetic Resources (PGRs).
