Raghupathy Sivakumar

Raghupathy “Siva” Sivakumar is Vice President of Commercialization and Chief Commercialization Officer at Georgia Tech, where he leads the Office of Commercialization. Sivakumar also holds the Wayne J. Holman Chair and is a professor in Georgia Tech’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where his research focuses on wireless networking and mobile computing. Previously, he was the founding director of CREATE-X, Georgia Tech’s initiative to build entrepreneurial confidence among students. He also has extensive industry and startup experience, including serving as co-founder and CTO of StarMobile and founder and CTO of Asankya. Sivakumar earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his B.E. in Computer Science from Anna University. He is an IEEE Fellow, a National Academy of Inventors (NAI) Fellow, and has received numerous awards for research, teaching, innovation, and academic achievement.
