Dr Ragbir Bhathal is an award winning writer who was awarded the CJ Dennis Award for excellence in natural history writing and the Nancy Keesing Fellowship by the State Library of NSW. He was written fifteen books including two on Aboriginal astronomy. His latest book with Professor Harvey Butcher (former Director of Mount Stromlo Observatory) and Dr Ralph Sutherland (Mount Stromlo Observatory) is Mount Stromlo Observatory: From Bush Observatory to the Nobel Prize. He is now working on a book on Mount Stromlo Astronomers: The endless frontier. He was awarded the 2014 Citation award for outstanding contributions to Student Learning by the Office of Teaching & Learning. He teaches engineering physics at the University of Western Sydney and is a Visiting Fellow at the Research School for Astronomy & Astrophysics, Australian National University.
