Biosecurity policies may seem onerous and expensive – but they are working to prevent new species from pushing native species out in the Antarctic.
We compiled the first list of Antarctic species and where they were first found. This knowledge means we can now protect all of the icy continent’s species.
Protecting the continent’s remaining pristine wilderness areas is urgent, but achievable.
