Rachel Kyte

(she/her)

I am Professor of Practice at the Blavatnik School at Oxford. I was previously Dean of The Fletcher School at Tufts. I have held senior positions at the UN (special representative of the Secretary-General) and the World Bank (Vice president and climate envoy), have advised governments and international financial institutions and left a full time academic administration position in order to continue to teach but to be able to be more directly involved in urgency of action on climate. I have written for The Conversation in the US edited by Stacy Morford. I teach and work on climate diplomacy and climate finance and have a particular interest in extreme heat and mitigating it. My TED talk was on cooling.
