R. Amanda Cooper, PhD, is an expert in interpersonal communication and family caregiving. She conducts research and teaches as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut. Through her research, she examines specific communication behaviors that promote well-being and enhance relationships for individuals and families facing life transitions or challenges. Her research on communication in dementia caregiving has been recognized both nationally and internationally.
