Priscila Machado

Dr Priscila Machado is a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Emerging Leadership Fellow in the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition, Deakin University. She is a Nutritionist and holds a PhD in Public Health Nutrition (University of Sao Paulo, Brazil). Her research focuses on the impacts of ultra-processed foods on health and the environment, sustainable healthy diets, and nutrition policy.

Priscila is an expert advisor to the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund (WHO-UNICEF) Technical Expert Advisory group on nutrition Monitoring.
