Portia Dilena

Portia commenced a scholarship funded Ph.D. candidature at La Trobe University, Melbourne Australia, in 2017. Her work is on the Australian student movement from 1950 to 1975, with particular focus on the role of emotions. Her primary sources are the 20 plus interviews she has conducted across Australia with the activists themselves. In 2019, Portia was the Primary Research Officer for the project 'Securing the Historical Landscape' at Charles Sturt University in Albury-Wodonga. She has published in Oral History Australia Journal, History Australia Journal, and is the author the 2022 book Achieving Higher Education in Albury-Wodonga published by Charles Sturt University.
