Pooja Shree Chettiar

I’m a postdoctoral neuroscientist at Texas A&M University with a research focus on stroke recovery, neuroimmunology, and women’s brain health. My work explores how aging, menopause, and the brain’s immune system influence recovery after neurological injury. Every day, I see how small discoveries in the laboratory can reshape our understanding of the brain and eventually improve patient care. I write because I believe these discoveries shouldn’t stay confined to scientific journals. As a science writer, I enjoy exploring the stories behind scientific discoveries and translating complex neuroscience into clear, engaging articles that help readers understand not only what scientists have discovered, but why those discoveries matter.
