Dr Fendoug has a PhD in Geography from the University of Liège.
He is a consultant in Geomatics (cartography, remote sensing, and Geographic Information Systems applied to sustainable land management). He also holds a degree in Disaster Risk Management (DRM) from the University of Liège in Belgium. He specializes in population vulnerability to environmental hazards such as climate change, heat waves and coastal erosion. He has extensive experience in researching the Cameroonian coast (Wouri estuary and the Kribi-Campo coastal strip).
Dr Fendoung is currently also a post-doctoral fellow at the CNRS, working on a project entitled: "Dynamics and Exploitation of Plant Cover and Watercourses in Northwest Syria: A Geohistorical Approach".
