Petter Ljungman is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at Karolinska Institutet and a Senior Consultant of Cardiology at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. He leads a research group focussing on health effects of environmental exposures like air pollution, noise, and climate change. He leads the Climate, Health and Air pollution Research in India study (CHAIR-India) in collaboration with Ashoka University, Harvard University, Boston University, Ben Gurion University and Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine. He has a Medical Degree from Uppsala University, a PhD from Karolinska Institutet and completed a postdoc at Harvard Medical School. His has researched extensively on air pollution exposure and cardiovascular disease outcomes as well as health effects of heat and noise.
