Peter Vickers is Professor of Philosophy of Science at Durham University, UK. His first book, Understanding Inconsistent Science, was published with Oxford University Press in 2013. His newest book, Identifying Future-Proof Science, is published with Oxford University Press in 2022. Most of his career has been devoted to better understanding the relationship between science and truth. He has been leading a Leverhulme Research Project Grant (2021-25), entitled EURiCA, which stands for 'Exploring Uncertainty and Risk in Contemporary Astrobiology'.
