Prof Peter Gammon is Professor of Power Electronic Devices at the University of Warwick, focusing on silicon carbide (SiC) electronic devices. He is also the Founder of PGC Consultancy Ltd. At Warwick, he leads a team of twelve researchers dedicated to reducing the cost of automotive SiC chips and expanding their applications to sectors like space, data centres, solar power, and the grid. His team’s expertise spans the entire supply chain, including device design, materials growth, fabrication, and reliability.

As the Principal Investigator on multiple major UKRI and Horizon Europe projects, Prof Gammon has authored over 100 publications and three patents, and he currently leads SiC device development and commercialisation efforts in the REWIRE consortium.
