Peter Eckersley

I am a Senior Research Fellow in Public Policy and Management at Nottingham Business School in the UK, focusing particularly on multi-level governance, sustainability, policy analysis and public services. I am also a Research Associate at the Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space in Erkner, Germany, where I study climate policy in German cities, and Managing Editor of Local Government Studies.

Previously, I worked in research posts at the Department of Politics at the University of Sheffield, the Environment Department at the University of York and Newcastle University Business School. I have a PhD in Political Science from Newcastle University, and before entering academia I worked for the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy for ten years in various advisory, research and consultancy roles.
