My first degree was in Genetics from Leeds University. I then worked as a Biomedical Scientist at various NHS hospitals gaining a special award in Haematology from Manchester Metropolitan University. I joined UCLan in 2009 as a senior lecturer in haematology. My research interest include blood-borne biomarkers for brain tumours andnovel targets for CAR-T therapy. I have presented my research at national and international conferences and have formed collaborations with UK and US universities to further my research.
