I am a leading academic who brings social science theory and methodology to problems in sustainable energy and the transition to a low carbon future, with a focus on the integration of science and technology into society through participatory processes. Prior to joining Curtin University as Director, Institute for Energy Transition (2023), I spent 6 years at the University of Queensland as Professor and Chair, Sustainable Energy Futures (2016) and Director of the Andrew N. Liveris Academy for Innovation and Leadership (2020) (Liveris Academy). I worked for more than 15 years in senior management roles for private industry and 10 years as a leading academic and group leader in CSIRO.
