- Research Fellow in Environmental Health, University of Tasmania
I am a transdisciplinary scientist with research expertise spanning aerobiology, environmental health, paleoclimatology, palaeoecology and archaeology. My primary motivation as a researcher is the application of integrative interdisciplinary science to improve social and environmental outcomes. Using the medium of pollen as a bridge, my career focus has evolved from characterising past climates and environments to understanding and managing the (current) impacts of climate change and aeroallergens on human health. In my current role I have established a novel program utilising molecular, immunological and aerobiological methods to better understand, manage and address the growing problem of aeroallergen-associated disease.
