Professor Paul Wragg, Professor of Media Law at the University of Leeds, Associate Fellow of the Inner Temple, and a Director of the campaign group, Hacked Off.
He is author of Free Speech Theory: A Radical Restatement (Hart Publishing, 2025) and A Free and Regulated Press: Defending Coercive Independent Press Regulation (Hart Publishing, 2020). He is co-editor of four edited collections. His work has been published in leading national and international journals and edited collections. He is a leading expert on matters of privacy law, press freedom, press regulation, and freedom of speech.
He was previously Editor-in-Chief of Communications Law (Bloomsbury Press) and a founding member of the code committee at Impress, the UK's only recognised press regulator.
