Marine Ecologist | Green Transition Advocacy at SEO/BirdLife | PhD in Marine Sciences

I am a Doctor in Marine Sciences dedicated to ensuring the energy transition aligns with the urgent need to protect marine biodiversity. Currently, I am a member of the Green Transition Advocacy Unit at SEO/BirdLife, where I focus on the responsible development of offshore wind in Spain, bridging the gap between scientific evidence and environmental policy.

I recently completed my PhD at the University of Barcelona, where my research centered on the ecological impacts of floating offshore wind development in the Mediterranean. By focusing on the Cap de Creus and the Gulf of Roses, I evaluated how renewable energy infrastructure affects vulnerable species, commercial fisheries, and marine habitats within the context of the global climate and biodiversity crisis.

My background spans technical research at the University of Girona and the CEAB-CSIC, where I studied littoral reef health and climate change impacts. Beyond the lab, I am trained in Science Diplomacy (S4D4C) and Maritime Spatial Planning, reflecting my commitment to science-informed decision-making.

I believe that a sustainable future requires both innovation and rigorous conservation. I am eager to apply my expertise to guide a responsible energy transition that safeguards our invaluable marine ecosystems.
