I am a dentist with experience working in general dental practice, hospital and public dental services as well as research, teaching, policy and regulation.

I am currently undertaking my PhD in Population Health, Policy & Health Services Research (PHPHSR) as a SPHeRE Programme Researcher at the Centre for Health Policy & Management - Trinity College Dublin (TCD). My research focuses on understanding why and how health system factors influence private general dentists’ participation in state-funded primary dental care as contractors.

I am an undergraduate clinical supervisor in paediatric dentistry at Dublin Dental University Hospital (DDUH). I am also an elected Member of the Dental Council of Ireland. In October 2023 I was appointed Chair of the Irish section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA) international dental honour organisation.

I have published in and peer reviewed articles for scientific journals including the British Dental Journal (BDJ).
