Paul H. Mason is an anthropologist at Macquarie University leading the Fresh Produce Bioactives project, funded by Hort Innovation. He has conducted fieldwork in Indonesia, India, Brazil, Vietnam, Australia and Papua New Guinea, working on performing arts, health, and environmental projects. A passionate educator, he previously coordinated the Masters of Conservation Education at Taronga Conservation Society Australia and has taught undergraduate and postgraduate anthropology at Monash, Melbourne, Sydney, Tasmania and Macquarie universities. He now studies what happens when humans and vegetables get to know each other better.
