Paul Dodds is Professor of Energy Systems in the UCL Energy Institute and the Institute for Sustainable Resources.

His research currently focuses on climate mitigation, with a particular focus on hydrogen and fuel cells. He has a PhD in climate change impacts on agriculture in West Africa.

He developed the UK TIMES energy systems model that is used by the UK Government to provide underpinning evidence for the UK's climate strategy, most recently the Net Zero Strategy (2021).
