I’m a transdisciplinary researcher exploring how risk and resilience emerge in complex social-ecological systems.

Trained in organisational science at Warwick and Leicester, I have worked as a Lecturer in Work/Employment Relations and Organisation Studies at the University of Leicester, where I was Programme Leader for BA Human Resources Management programme.

In the field of organisational science, my research explored how alternative organisational forms emerge, become mainstreamed and/or fade away. My PhD, 'Institutional Change as a Labour of Definition' (University of Leicester), investigated the emergence of social enterprise in the UK, tracing how the Blair-era Labour government and other actors shaped its meaning.

Following a family move to Stockholm, I joined the Stockholm Resilience Centre, where my research has focused on the climate resilience of Northern Ireland’s Nephrops fishery after Brexit (through a 2-year Master’s programme) and, more recently as Research Assistant, on the financial risks that climate change poses to large-scale industrial fisheries.
