- Lecturer in Latin American Studies, University College Dublin
I have been researching and publishing in the area of bandit studies and particularly the Robin Hood effect since 2010, and published a book 'Revolutionaries, Rebels and Robbers: The Golden Age of Banditry in Latin America, Mexico and the US Southwest 1850-1950' in 2015 with the University of Wales Press. My interest has since shifted towards manifestations of Robin Hood in contemporary 'banditry', such as in narco-culture, and also in women bandits and rebels in Latin America from colonial era to the present. I worked from 2011-2016 at the University of Sheffield as a Teaching Fellow in Hispanic Studies and from 2017 I have been a Lecturer in Latin American Studies at UCD.
