Pablo Uchoa currently works as a researcher and postgraduate teaching assistant at the UCL Institute of the Americas in London, where he earned a PhD in Political Science. He has an MSc in Latin American Politics from the Institute for the Study of the Americas and was previously a visiting scholar at the John Kluge Center for Scholars at the Library of Congress in Washington-DC. A former BBC World Service Washington correspondent, Pablo has written for various outlets, including Janes Intelligence Review, NACLA Report on the Americas, and other international and Latin American news outlets. His book 'Venezuela: A Encruzilhada de Hugo Chavez', published in 2003, received honoured mention in the Vladimir Herzog Human Rights Award for Journalism in Brazil.

Pablo Uchoa é doutor em Ciências Políticas pelo Instituto das Américas da UCL, em Londres. Ele possui mestrado em Política Latino-Americana pelo Instituto para o Estudo das Américas, Escola de Estudos Avançados, e foi pesquisador visitante no Centro John Kluge da Biblioteca do Congresso, em Washington. Ex-correspondente da BBC Brasil em Washington, Pablo já escreveu para vários veículos de comunicação, incluindo Janes Intelligence Review, NACLA Report on the Americas e outros veículos de notícias internacionais e latino-americanos. Seu livro “Venezuela: A Encruzilhada de Hugo Chávez”, publicado em 2003, recebeu menção honrosa no Prêmio Vladimir Herzog de Jornalismo em Direitos Humanos.
