I completed my PhD in Biology at the University of Barcelona (Spain) in 2011. Since 2012, I have worked as a research fellow based at Edith Cowan University (ECU) and at The University of Western Australia’s Oceans Institute (UWA OI). I am now a Principal Research at the Centre for Advanced Studies of Blanes (Spanish National Research Council)

My most significant contributions to this field of research are based on my pioneering use of seagrass sedimentary archives from the Mediterranean Sea to reconstruct the past history of coastal and terrestrial ecosystems in response to environmental forces.
