Osama Mansour

I am an Associate Professor in Information Systems at Lund University. My current research examines Fintech–bank relationships within the emerging open banking ecosystem, with a primary focus on the digitalization/platformization of the banking industry. Specifically, my work explores competition and collaboration between banks and Fintech firms; platform ecosystem governance and strategies in open banking; the role of data and the transition towards open finance; power relations among ecosystem actors and market dynamics; customer-centred Fintech innovations, and the tension between technology implementation and regulation. My work is grounded in strong collaboration with the banking and Fintech sectors, including regulators and industry associations. My research has been supported and recognised by the Swedish Competition Authority, the Swedish Fintech Association, the Riksbank, and other governmental and industry organizations.
