Dr Oonagh Coleman is a Research Fellow at UCL and an affiliate Research Associate at the Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre, King’s College London.
Oonagh completed her PhD at King’s College London, where her research focused on the role of subjective experience and memory processes in the relationship between childhood trauma and mental health. She uses mixed-methods approaches and has published longitudinal, meta-analytic, and qualitative research on the measurement of childhood maltreatment and the psychological mechanisms linking trauma with later mental health outcomes.
In her current role at UCL, her research focuses on the intergenerational transmission of mental health problems and whether treating parental depression can improve children's mental health.
