Olivia Zarella is a research associate for implementation science at the Center for Health, Work & Environment. She holds a doctorate and masters of Public Health in environmental and occupational health. She has nearly nine years of experience managing programs at the intersection of environmental health, infectious disease and policy. Through that management, she has proven success overseeing multidisciplinary teams, partnering with local, state and federal agencies, and leading community-centered programs in outbreak response, food safety, water quality and vector-borne disease control—across local, national, and international settings.

Zarella is killed in translating science into effective, messages and policies, and fostering trusted cross-sector partnerships. She's adept at navigating political landscapes, engaging elected officials and building coalitions to advance sustainable health outcomes
