Olivia Maurice

(She/Her)

Cognitive Neuroscientist 🧠 | Memory, Brain Ageing & Multilingualism 🌱 | STEM Diversity Advocate 🇲🇺 |

Olivia completed her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the MARCS Institute, Western Sydney University, researching how lifelong multilingual experience influences brain ageing and cognitive resilience.

With dementia projected to impact more people than ever before, she believes there’s untapped neuroprotective potential in social-cognitive activities such as multilingual experience.

More broadly, Olivia researches social cognition across the lifespan and in different populations such as brain injury and dementia.

Passionate about culturally inclusive and interdisciplinary science, Olivia aims to translate cutting-edge research into actionable insights and meaningful outcomes for health and wellbeing.
