Oleksandra Osypenko has a PhD in Linguistics from Lancaster University and works primarily in psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics. She studies how the languages we speak shape the way we think and perceive the world. Her research focuses on bilingual and multilingual speakers, particularly Ukrainian–Russian bilinguals, to understand how using two native languages influences memory, attention, and other aspects of cognition.
