Olalekan Adekola

Dr. Olalekan Adekola is an Associate Professor of Geography at York St John University. He earned his Bachelor of Technology in Geography from the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria, followed by an MSc in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and a PhD in Geography from the University of Leeds, UK. His research explores the social, economic, and political dimensions of environmental change, with a focus on integrating interdisciplinary approaches to address environmental challenges. By bridging academic research and policy, his work contributes to practical solutions. Dr. Adekola has published extensively on topics such as ecosystem services assessments, ecological economics, development studies, water resources management, health risk communication, and flood management.
