Dr. OiYan Poon is an Associate Professor Affiliate in the School of Education at Colorado State University and Visiting Faculty at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research focuses on the racial politics of college access and selective admissions, affirmative action, and Asian Americans.
Before pursuing her Ph.D. at UCLA, Dr. Poon worked in multicultural affairs and Asian American student services at George Mason University and at the University of California at Davis, where she also served as a comprehensive review reader for undergraduate admissions.
