My research focuses on shallow temperate reef ecosystem ecology, stability, resilience, health, and functioning, and how human impacts such as overfishing, sedimentation, bioinvasions, and climate change impact these systems. It tests empirical evidence against theory and explores solution-based approaches to alleviate adverse human impacts and restore ecosystem health and stability.
