Nozomi is a Lecturer in Japanese Studies at the University of Sheffield, School of Languages, Cultures and Society. She is a literary scholar in contemporary Japanese women's writing. Currently she is working on theorising the 'boom' of contemporary Japanese women's writing in translation. She also works with literary translators, publishers and other stakeholders who have contributed to creating the literary landscape, through Knowledge Exchange and public engagement activities.
