She is currently venturing into the field of climate change and mental health, and the impact that climate change has on the mental health of young people in the Global South. In her research, she utilizes qualitative research methodologies such as ethnography, photovoice, poetic inquiry, and participatory action research, infusing it with health promotion intervention design and implementation. She is enthusiastic about the practical application of reflexivity in her teaching and research and utilizes a transformative learning pedagogical approach.
