Nina A. Kohn is a Distinguished Professor of Law at Syracuse University, a Distinguished Scholar in Elder Law with Yale Law School’s Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy, and a member of the American Law Institute. Kohn is a leading expert in elder law, advance planning and medical consent, long-term care law, and the civil rights of older adults and those with diminished cognitive capacity. With Naomi Cahn, she is the author of the forthcoming book "Aging While Female: The Untold Story of Growing Older, Gender, and Law in America" (Oxford 2027).

Among other roles, Kohn has served as the Reporter for the Uniform Health Care Decisions Act; the Reporter for the Uniform Guardianship, Conservatorship, and Other Protective Arrangements Act; and a Visiting Professor at Yale Law School and Cornell Law Law School. She earned her A.B. summa cum laude from Princeton University and a J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
