Dr Nikolai Kazantsev is a researcher at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) at the University of Cambridge and a Research Fellow at Clare Hall College.
Nikolai is passionate about making production ethical, sustainable, and resilient to demand shocks, such as a pandemic, war, or a climate disaster.
In particular, recent concern is the application of systems thinking to find hidden vulnerabilities, leverage points, and tipping points to improve social and environmental sustainability (SDG12), particularly in the supply chain upstream.
