- Research Fellow, University of California, Berkeley
I am a researcher at the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity, where I direct the Daylight Lab (daylight.berkeley.edu). I received my Ph.D. from the UC Berkeley School of Information. My adviser was John Chuang.
I study cybersecurity. My perspective is heavily informed by science and technology studies (STS), and my methods combine design research and data science.
Some of my recent work:
MLFailures - Helping students identify (and ameliorate) bias in machine learning models. https://cltc.berkeley.edu/mlfailures
Measuring Internet Fragmentation - Finding correlates of state power through Internet measurement. https://cltc.berkeley.edu/internet-atlas
Adversary Personas - Helping people (with or without security expertise) identify the security threats that matter to them. https://daylight.berkeley.edu/adversary-personas/
