Previously British Ambassador & Permanent Representstive on Governing Boards of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) & International Energy Agency (IEA), where I championed new economic thinking & measurement, ending tax base erosion and profit shifting, and putting sustainability & the climate & ecological crises at the heart of strategy. I chaired the OECD Evaluation Committee, led the Ambassadors China Group, established a Strategic Foresight leadership group, and was Vice-Chair of the OECD annual ministerial, which launched the OECD's first Ministerial Climate Change communique.

Over a decade of diplomatic postings to China, Japan & USA covering issues including economics, trade, science & innovation, environment, climate, finance & business relations.

Former Chief Economist at the Foreign Office.

Co-led a small UK Treasury team that launched a $4 billion innovative financing facility that immunised over half a billion people & is estimated to have saved over 5 million lives.

Member of UK Government Economic Service.
