Emeritus Professor Nicholas Fisk AM FAHMS FAICD FRSN FRANZCOG FRCOG MBBS DDU CMFM PhD MBA is a clinical scientist with a background in fetal-maternal medicine and developmental biology, who has held senior leadership roles at UNSW Sydney, the University of Queensland and Imperial College London. Between 2016-24, he was Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research & Enterprise at UNSW Sydney, a period in which the university climbed to #19 in the QS global rankings and national leadership for start up and spin out companies.

He has served in leadership roles in a number of international and national organisations, including as President of the International Fetal Medicine & Surgery Society, Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Chair of the Association of Academic Health Centers International, Chair of both the Group of Eight Universities' DVCRs Committee and Go8 Deans of Medicine Committee, and he is incoming Chair of the Population Health Research Network (an NCRIS entity). Other board memberships have included major health and research organisations, and the peak body Research Australia.
