Nicholas Koemel is a trained dietitian and Senior Research Fellow in the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health at Monash University. He serves as the lead integrative behavioural scientist at the BrainPark, a state-of-the-art wellbeing research facility that supports supervised and remote interventions, physiological and behavioural assessment, and participant engagement.
His research focuses on the synergistic effects of physical activity, sleep, and nutrition on optimising health outcomes across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on cardiovascular disease, cancer, healthy longevity, and all-cause mortality. His work spans wearable technologies, behavioural epidemiology, lifestyle medicine, and adaptive behaviour change interventions, including the development and translation of digital health and AI-enabled coaching systems.
