My research explores a large range of themes pertaining to the pronunciation patterns of the Spanish sound system. More recently, I have broadened my area of study to cover Andalusian Spanish, spoken in southern Spain, and Patagonian Spanish, spoken in southern Argentina. This line of work has led me to explore issues related to theories of language change, and how dialectal disparities are mediated through social-indexical information (e.g., gender, age, level of bilingualism, geographical origin).
