- Lecturer in International Relations, University of Iowa
I am a lecturer at the University of Iowa, where I study and teach classes on terrorism and insurgency; military technology (especially drones and other robotic systems); national security policy, and the Middle East. In 2013, I received a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, with a dissertation entitled "Robotics and the Future of Asymmetric Warfare." I've written a variety of papers on these topics, including "Terrorists and Insurgents, Armed with Drones," and given numerous related presentations, to the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment, the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council, and at International Relations conferences.
