I am an evolutionary biologist who is interested in the mechanisms that underpin cooperation in nature. I work on both human and non-human model systems, employing insights from evolutionary biology, economics and psychology to elucidate the mechanisms that maintain cooperation in interactions where partners may otherwise be tempted to exploit one another.
